"You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith
alone." James 2:24

James says this because we are justified, and ultimately saved,
through both our faith and works, and not just faith alone. Catholics
ultimately believe that we are saved, not by faith or works, but by Jesus
Christ and Him alone! God desires us to respond to His grace through
Jesus' death and resurrection, by putting our faith into action (the
"works" part).
